For many people, the Boston Pops version of Sleigh Ride is a seasonal standard. I play in the orchestra at First Baptist Church and it’s part of our Christmas Offering every year. I’ve been playing this piece by LeRoy Anderson since high school.

Merry Christmas, Darling – The Carpenters
One of my favorite Christmas groups; The Carpenters sang back in the late 1960s and 70s. This one, is from 1970.  Karen Carpenter has a voice that is pure and clear.

 

 

Unfortunately, Karen Carpenter died of an eating disorder. It still makes me sad.
